I Migrated is a migrating exhibition project, that challenges perceptions surrounding the migration of Humans. History tells us migration is not a new phenomenon.  Though common, migration is a major cause of unrest, and hostility in forms unimaginable.  The exhibition echoes the voices of migrant women, it challenges perceptions, using handcrafted body Adornments, Creative writing, and Photography to tell their stories.  At the heart of this exhibition is an invitation to press pause: is there a human behind the labeled migrant?  

 

RESILIENCE: FRIEND OR FOE?

Resilience Friend of Foe? SUPERWOMAN, WARRIOR, SUPER MOM, MIGRANT, STRONG WOMAN, SUPERHUMAN? The exhibition project is an inquiry. Coming face to face with the challenges women from marginalised migrant background face: the tensions, joys, sorrows, pain, confusion, exhaustion, and triumphs of being a resilient migrant woman in contemporary society. It explores topics like, mental health, periods, wellness, domestic abuse, marriage, and motherhood.
